Argentium, sterling and fine silver, rainbow pyrite druzy, white topaz, patina
This triple pendant is hand fabricated in Argentium, sterling and fine silver. Inspired by organic forms, this piece contains a hollow form complimented by a beautiful rainbow pyrite druzy and 4mm white topaz stone. Includes a sterling silver chain with an extender that is adjustable from 17″ to 19″ inches.
This work was hand fabricated from Argentium and fine silver sheet. The forms are cut using a jewelers saw and shaped by hand, and soldered together using acetylene gas. The texture found on the surface of the hollow form is created by steel wool pressed onto it via a rolling mill. The 4mm white topaz is tube set and the rainbow pyrite druzy is set in a custom made bezel. The forms themselves are inspired by the contours of river stones and bones. A patina is used to create the dark contrast in the silver.
